800 miles at 26.9 miles to the gallon, in 56 hours. Not particularly astounding, but enough for this transformation:

So let's get on with it then. I'm not feeling particularly articulate today, so less rambling and more photos. On Friday, I drove to Cherwell services, north-west of Oxford. Where I found Robin in his 325i, and Andy and Jen in his freshly acquired Vauxhall Calibra. Urgh.
Off from there to pick up Ben Luker from Brum, and then up the M6 to the Lakes with a brief tour of the Forest of Bowland. I can't really glorify the M6 in any way: it munted.

However, we got a good blast up the A5074 into Bowness where we were staying. This was a good opportunity to see Ben, to use a phrase enjoyed so much by us all, give the Cavalier "some beans" for the first time. Impressive stuff, and it reminded me of Andy's "disobey me and I'll write you off" Megane technique.
Upon arrival we found Jeff Spangle, and then a pub. And then a curry house. Then another pub. I can't really remember what happened then, so let's move on to Saturday.
